Prawns or Shrimp Curry
- 250g or 1 Cup Frozen Prawns
- 2 Medium sized onions roughly chopped
- 1/2 Cup Grated coconut
- 1/2 tsp. Turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp. Fish Masala or any masala you use at home
- 1/2 Cup Coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 tbsp. Oil
- Water for cooking
Method:
- In a blender add the onions, coconut and coriander. Blend to a paste.
- Heat oil in a pan, add the turmeric powder and fish masala.
- Cook for 3-5 mins on med flame.
- Add the blended paste and continue to cook for another 5-6 mins. Add some water if needed.
- Add the frozen, thawed prawns.
- Mix well.
- Salt to taste.
- Cook covered for 5-10 mins, or untill prawns are fully cooked.
- Garnish with fresh coriander.
- Serve hot with roti or rice.
