Prawns/ Shrimp Curry

Prawns or Shrimp Curry 

Ingredients:

  • 250g or 1 Cup Frozen Prawns 
  • 2 Medium sized onions roughly chopped 
  • 1/2 Cup Grated coconut 
  • 1/2 tsp. Turmeric powder 
  • 1 tbsp. Fish Masala or any masala you use at home 
  • 1/2 Cup Coriander leaves 
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tbsp. Oil
  • Water for cooking 

Method:

  1. In a blender add the onions, coconut and coriander. Blend to a paste. 
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add the turmeric powder and fish masala.
  3. Cook for 3-5 mins on med flame. 
  4. Add the blended paste and continue to cook for another 5-6 mins. Add some water if needed. 
  5. Add the frozen, thawed prawns. 
  6. Mix well. 
  7. Salt to taste. 
  8. Cook covered for 5-10 mins, or untill prawns are fully cooked. 
  9. Garnish with fresh coriander. 
  10. Serve hot with roti or rice.
