Ingredients: Recipe for 1 papad or pappdum, you need to repeat this
for all the papads or pappadums.
- 1 packet Plain on Cumin Papad
- ¼ Cup Oil to brush
- 1 large onion finely chopped
- Salt & Pepper
- Finely chopped tomatoes (optional)
- Chat masala (optional)
- In a flat pan drizzle 2 tsp. oil.
- Put the papad in it & keep swirling it with the help of a tissue paper or spatula, till it gets golden brown & crisp from the bottom.
- Flip it over. Then gently pat it down on the pan to get some color on the other side as well.
- If you need more oil, go ahead and add a few drops.
- On the side facing up, add some of the chopped tomato and onion. Sprinkle some of the chopped coriander, salt and black pepper.
- Cook for another 1-2 mins.
- Remove & serve
This and chana dry are my all time favorite starters whenever we go to a restaurant in India, even thinking about it makes my mouth water :)
