Mawa Pedha or Quick & easy Milk Pedha

Pedha  
Day 1- Prasad Pedha
Ingredients: Makes 20-30 Pedhas 
  • 1 Can Condensed Milk 
  • 1 ¾ Cups Milk Powder
  • 1 Stick or 100gm Plain unsalted butter 
  • 2-3 tsp. Cardamom powder 
  • Sliced Pistachios or Almonds or Cashews  for garnishing 
Method:

  1. In a thick bottomed pan melt the butter. 
  2. Keep the flame on low. 
  3. After the butter is melted add the condensed milk & mix well.
  4. Next add the milk powder & cook everything for 8-10 mins stirring continuously. 
  5. Take the mixture off the heat. 
  6. Let it cool for 5-8 mins or until you are able to take the mixture in your hands & roll it out into round balls or pedhas. 
  7. Grease your hands very lightly with butter & pinch the mixture to form balls. 
  8. Lay them out on a non stick surface & flatten them ever so lightly. 
  9. Garnish with small slice of almonds or any nut of your choice. 
  10. Refrigerate. Remove from the fridge 15-20 mins before serving. 

They taste just like an authentic mawa pedha.
