Pedha
Day 1- Prasad Pedha |
- 1 Can Condensed Milk
- 1 ¾ Cups Milk Powder
- 1 Stick or 100gm Plain unsalted butter
- 2-3 tsp. Cardamom powder
- Sliced Pistachios or Almonds or Cashews for garnishing
- In a thick bottomed pan melt the butter.
- Keep the flame on low.
- After the butter is melted add the condensed milk & mix well.
- Next add the milk powder & cook everything for 8-10 mins stirring continuously.
- Take the mixture off the heat.
- Let it cool for 5-8 mins or until you are able to take the mixture in your hands & roll it out into round balls or pedhas.
- Grease your hands very lightly with butter & pinch the mixture to form balls.
- Lay them out on a non stick surface & flatten them ever so lightly.
- Garnish with small slice of almonds or any nut of your choice.
- Refrigerate. Remove from the fridge 15-20 mins before serving.
They taste just like an authentic mawa pedha.
