Paneer Bhurji or Scrambled paneer

Paneer bhuji or scrambled paneer is popular street food in India. This dish is perfect for those times when you have had a late night, are craving spicy food but have no energy to cook anything. And this takes as much time as it would to make instant noodles, but more tasty and satiating than instant noodles. 

Ingredients:
  1. 150g  or 1/2 Cup Paneer - finely chopped or grated 
  2. 1 Onion chopped
  3. 1-2 tsps. Turmeric, Chilli, Garam masala powder
  4. 1/2 tsp. Chat masala or any tangy spice 
  5. Salt to taste
  6. 1/4 Cup fresh corainder- finely chopped
  7. 1 Tomato finely chopped (optional)
Method: 
  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add onions & saute them for 7-8mins, untill slighly golden brown. 
  2. Then add turmeric, chill and garam masala powder. Add salt to taste. Add the chopped tomato (if using) at this stage. Mix well & cook for 2 mins. 
  3. Add chopped coriander and chat masala. 
  4. Cook covered for 5-8mins. 
Serve hot with pita bread or naan.
